Electronic Emergencies Logo: design Meinhard Spoor    ELECTRONIC EMERGENCIES in 2017

Dear electronic friends,

After a fantastic 2016, we are proud to announce some of our plans for the new year.

Our first release in 2017 will be a four track 12’’ by PEINE PERDUE, a duo from Paris & Berlin. The tracks on Histoire d’une âme were inspired by the cult movie Thérèse, directed by Alain Cavalier. Expect nebulous acid wave chansons beyond any genre.

Next, we turn back the clock to 1993 with a 12’’ by THE R, featuring tracks that were created in the heyday of Dutch pre-trance techno house. Reminiscent of early Prodigy-style breakbeat & rave, the tracks were produced by two brothers who used to go out in legendary club iT (Amsterdam) and played live in Tresor (Berlin).

The third one is going to be Queer, very Queer. Electronic Emergencies shows its true colours. Get ready for the double compilation album The Closet Tapes, consisting of a club and a wave record. Recognized queer heroes as well as new queer stars have contributed: JORGE SOCARRAS & PIERRE KLEIN, BEZIER, GAYTRON, ANDY BUTLER, EDDY DE CLERCQ, ADRIANO CANZIAN, VENDERSTROOIK, JEAN PETITJEAN, THIS COLD NIGHT, SKELETON HEAD and HARD TON & POPSIMONOVA will celebrate diversity and join the queer electronic revolution.

Later in the year, our dear friend and Electronic Emergencies star BORGIE is going to deliver another great EP. This time, the analogue synth feel moves a little closer to Italo but stays connected to Borgie’s trademark the electrotech sound that we love.

Finally, we are very happy to announce the EP of the exciting Dutch/Japanese project YOBKISS. YobKiss balances on the edge of avant-garde electronics and flirts with acid pop in dreamy soundscapes. A true electronic delight.

And of course, this is not all – expect more to be announced as the year progresses.

Thank you for your love and support!

Electronically yours,
Aad & Erik
